I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
